How we work
Instead of a set of values, we write out our expectations and how we screen for candidates:
- You enjoy owning product, not just writing code. You're interested in talking with our users and have opinions about what to build and when to build it (level 5 in this diagram). If you're looking to join neat sprints and execute on well thought-out tickets, this is not a fit for you.
- You understand that distribution matters. Success isn’t shipping product, but having users use and share it. You know our users and ecosystem deeply, so you have opinions on how to build specifically for user growth or how to pitch our features to platforms.
- You focus on solving problems. You work backwards from the ideal user experience, are agnostic to solutions. Sometimes, this don’t require code, and could be improving docs, updating copy, or asking our partners the right questions.
- You execute independently. Whether you’re given a problem, an open-ended question, or a piece of user feedback, you exercise your judgement, own the decision, and drive it to completion. You don’t say excuses since you know that the buck stops at you.
- You iterate quickly. We try to collaborate in realtime and minimize time to getting feedback, which means hopping on Slack huddles throughout the day. We reprioritize our backlog as needed and often fix user feedback in an hour.
- You’re passionate about incentives: We believe in using blockchain to coordinate people and capital at a scale that has not been possible before. This is the most fascinating strategy game ever, but on the world level.
